Dec. 7 - Christmas Concert

Lipscomb University will host a Christmas Concert featuring the A Cappella Singers and the University Wind Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, at Collins Alumni Auditorium. This is a free concert and is open to the public.
A stage full of musicians will offer a great night of classical and holiday music, including Three Yuletide Evergreens, Haydn’s Run, Ye Shepherds, to the Light, Mendelssohn’s Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe, Brahms’ Es ist das Heil uns kommen her, and Rachmaninoff’s Bogoroditse Devo.
Comprised of 65 members from various degree programs across campus, the A Cappella Singers perform a wide selection of musical genres and styles each year, including sacred a cappella and major choral works with orchestra. The A Cappella Singers have several recordings, which may be ordered from the Lipscomb Department of Music.
The Lipscomb University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Stephen Rhodes, is dedicated to performing high-quality music ranging from old favorites to the avant-garde.
